YOUR VOICE IS POWERFUL.
"A word after a word after a word is power."
- Margaret Atwood
Write For Us
Outreach Debate welcomes writers, debaters, and leaders to submit guest essays, tips, or op-eds to our platform. We welcome a diverse range of content, but have a special emphasis on the speech and debate world and change-making. We want content that is nuanced, detailed, and well written. We want leaders who can inspire others in our community.
What Goes in Our Blog?
Our blogs primarily feature op-ed articles that delve into opinionated arguments based on logic, reasoning, and fact. If you have an issue in the debate community, here's your way to let your voice be heard. If you think debate can make an impact in the education system in some unique way, you can talk about that here. We aim for an article to be 500 to 1,200 words in length. Additionally, we strongly recommend leaders in the NPO, business, and government write about their experience so that people in our community can learn.
What We Don't Want
There are some things that our blog isn't. We do not want content that:
-
Villainizes a community in debate
-
Is about geopolitical or economic events. Those can be written elsewhere
-
Has no sources or evidence
-
Only has one perspective showcased
How to Pitch Your Writing
-
